I couldn't agree more with your assessment of this car. I wondered if I would tire of it when I drove it. But my initial impression was holy cr..... What I liked most about it is the way it felt like you could let the tail hang out there on the turns. Hard to describe what I mean, but it came naturally to me. If I were to have named it after my first drive I'd have called it Wild Thing.

For a classic weekend canyon carver and track car, I would love to have a BMW e30 M3. Other choices would be a an early 70's Alfa GTV or Lotus Europa Twin Cam.

I would probably do a Viper. I kinda want to add one to the stable anyway. On a more fantasy trip I guess a F 360 would be a hoot.

I did some research also. A Rover 2.8 V8 would fit nicely and its 65 lbs. lighter than the cast iron 6. Probably need to go with a Jap drive train though.
It's a great handling car but it has the opposite problem from the Porsche, its very nose heavy. I wouldn't want to put any more weight up front.
Its about the same weight as my Porsche.
With an extra hundred hp it would be a little beast. :eek:
