Its a wheel question
I have some 7X 16 wheels that I think are fuchs but I am not sure. I can't find a fox but it has the following marking. Can anybody identify what these wheels are? I plan to put them up for sale but I don't want to mislead anybody.
Thanx ![]() ![]()

The Fuch (Fox) symbol is usually where the part number is displayed.
Look on the other pedals for the 911.xxx.xxx.xx number and clean it up, should be there IMHO. Good luck

Since your posting photos, why not show the actual wheel?

Those are real Fuchs. The fox is the little symbol after the 62.

Maybe it's an optical illusion with the angle of the pictures and the lighting, but those look much wider than 7s. The lips look much bigger.
Also, I see they have 245s on them, and the 245s are sitting on the wheels like they would on a 9 inch wheel, not a 7 inch wheel. 245 on a 7 is way too big and would look like balloons. Maybe they are some kind of welded up wheels, using Fuchs 7 centers? |

Not true. I use RA1 245s on a set of 7's and 8's. I have two sets like this (phones and D-90s). I have to look close when I'm putting them on the car, it's noticeable but not like balloons. That said, they do look wider than 7's (like my 8's), but who would bother to cut/stretch them? Hey John! Hope you're well, update you location to the new place. ![]()

Toyo RA1 245/45 x16 is speced by the manufacturers engineers for 7.5" to 9.0" bead widths.
Can they be fitted to wider or narrower? Sure, but you won't get the performance from them that you will get from using rims that are in the tire spec. To get the maximum performance from any tire you want to use the widest wheel that would be in spec, in this case 245/45 x16 wants a 9.0" bead width wheel. oems often fit wheels at the narrow end of spec for cost reasons and they are as concerned w/ comfort(maybe even more concerned)
