Porsche Crest Carrera script spacing

Everyone, could someone that has a tail on their on car and the Carrera scrpit please mesure how far up it is from the bottom of the decklid. I have one from a 964 that I got from Pelican and I am going to put on my 86 as it has never had one (well atleast since the PO added the tail). I know the 964 one is smaller but I did not want to have to drill any holes.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill I could swear this question has been asked before and a search will probably turn it up.

I found it. Turns out it is almost a 2 year old thread and I posted on it which must be why I remembered it. By the way the measurement you need is 7 and 5/8 inches from the bottom edge. Here is the thread: Location of Carrera script on '84 rear deck lid?

Bill-

Just an FYI, the larger '84-'89 Carrera badge uses adheasive tape as well (no drilling). Only the SC emblems (and earlier) were staked through the deck lid.

Thanks Kurt.

The search resulted in a bout a million threads, I am glad you were able to narrow it down for me.
