Help replacing all rubber window trim
I have heard, but cannot substanciate, that it is possible to use newer seals to install the windshield and rear side windows without the need for the trim pieces. What seals do I need for a 1979 Coupe? Can I do the same thing with the rear window?
Does anyone have pics of such a conversion? Thanks,

I'm pretty sure you can update all your rubber trim to late model (aka 964) trim except Front and Rear trim. The front needs a 964 window and the rear the same. Some have successfully used earlier windows and newer trim, but others have has problems.

For the rear quarter windows, you'll want to use the 993 window seals. You will need to retain the piece of trim that goes along the bottom edge of the window, but not the actual seal trim pieces. This piece will keep a snug fit. I have done this to my 80SC and it's a nice look.
Have fun! -B
