What's the story on that front spoiler. That's the first one I actually like. Thanks -J |
thanks for the compliments -
The valance is a urethane RUF item found at JWW's swapmeet. Came off this guy's track only 87 (?) Basically was stolen at the price I paid :) .... And Dane - no cooler yet...I was feeling guilty trying to knife a perfectly good motor right now and kinda unsure of what to do. I'm kinda doing my engine rebuild vicariously through you at the moment...Certain whatever you do will be top notch like the rest of your rig so I'll learn from it. the LeMans was a last minute score from a buddy who needed $$$. Decided to finish it and build turn it into a driver. It's built almost entirely out of spare parts from buddies. Renton city law says I can't drive it until I grow a Mullet so that may take awhile.. rjp |

It's a clean one Randy, very, very clean! Love the new look! Just wanted to make sure you weren't sneaking a 3.6 in when no one was looking. Man you guys are killing me. Did you see Bobby's? "9.8:1 P/Cs, 964 cams, SSIs. Makes 195 at the wheels" !! That is 230 at the crank!! What I could do with your car Bobby ;) That is just harsh with P/Cs and carbs setting here on the shelf.....while I am in the middle of a house and shop remodel that should have been done a month ago :( Car sets under a cover......and I have to walk by it every day. Never seen an SC I didn't like. Some very cool cars on this thread! next 911 is gonna have to be red, or purple, or maybe black  |
Come a long way in 8 months, Long way $$$$ to go!!

Phoneguy, nice job! The ducktail looks great on a Targa.

Here is my metalic black one.

I'm rebuilding my brake system & changing my front wheel bearings right now. Next I will delete my A/C, install a bump steer kit & lower it. I eventually want to lose as much weight as possible, make it track ready, but keep it street legal. I have abandoned the whole restoration idea, don't want a garage queen. |
Okay....gratuitous shot of car...

Damn there are a lot of cool cars on this thread! Primarily mine of course. I used to live in Seattle and caught the racing bug there back in 1993 so hello to all of you from PNWR. rdane, I've been down that road before. Here is the car the motor was originally built for:

But I traded the race car for a baby (#3) last Spring. And swapped the fresh Euro spec motor I was planning to race with into the street car (which, incidentally, I bought in Seattle). I promised all three boys that when they turn 16 we'll buy the race car back and go racing together....

Al Reed did my wheels, and I haven't done anything other than wash them with water and buff 'em with a nice cloth...
|
Well, not the "best" SC (yet), but a good one.

Bobby has it right, some very nice cars here. How about some "SC" before and after comparisons?
But first I can't forget these ;) http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../ads.sized.jpg Fuchs, dot slicks and no center caps are too cool! http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../adg.sized.jpg Before: http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../aaa.sized.jpg http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../aab.sized.jpg And one year later: http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../aew.sized.jpg http://www.standingwave.org/albums/p.../afb.sized.jpg |
