Did somebody say before and after? Before:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066941326.jpg
And after:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066941368.jpg Good luck getting down to 2250#, guys. Weight loss isn't always an easy thing. |
Without the ballast required to meet the legal PCA stock class minimum for an SC (2552lbs), the race car I used to have weighed 2250. It had fiberglass bumpers but still had the interior due to class rules. I bet I could have gotten another 50 lbs out if I had been able to remove all the interior, the sound deadener and the engine compartment sound pad. So it can be done. Of course, it started off life as a non sunroof, no AC, no power windows, no CC, no stereo 1978 911SC. When new, it even had the pinstripe sport seats. I wish I could meet the guy who special ordered an orange SC this way in 1978. It killed me to have to bolt in 300 lbs of lead to go racing!

Here's a few pics of my "coolest SC" and my sidekick Daisyhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066956130.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066956142.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066956155.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1066956166.jpg

Cool SC's everybody.
Jen's, your SC looks pretty cool to me :) Jon T, Very nice and the Boxer is way cool. I think I was in a poker game with him, does he smoke cigars? :D |
My SC @ 2245# and I don't think 2200# would be tough to do.

where do you get that SCWDP sticker from? I saw some guys with it on some t-shirts at the autocross is whislter but I haven't found one yet. any leads?
|
Rdane,
Which seats did you switch over to? I like those alot. |
Alright, you twisted my arm! Here's my cool brown stallion.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1075937669.jpg rpiper, I love what you have done with the interior. I have the same tan/orange interior you had. I am going to convert it to all black like yours. I want to get rid of the fog lights soon too. Great Job on the conversion. BTW, I used to live in Eagan. |
Rick, Rdane's seats are leather Recaro Pole Postion's.
|
Jens,
Your car looks great! I love the clean no-rockers look with a little of black trim. And that nose....so smooth. |
still needs work, but I'm quite fond of this one

Very tastefully done, Bobby! I look forward to seeing it in person on the 494 strip or..... I also like your choice of mechanics. Aaron at Flat6 has a real "gift" with these cars. (and some very interesting pieces in the shop!)
|
Ok... enough is enough... Time to crash the party and show you all a more refined and improved SC...
Let the flames begin... http://home.comcast.net/~cyprusx/mysexyrear.jpg |
OK - I'm in with my fog-less SC (I know it's a rear view but trust me on this one. Jens' car rocks! I bumped into Jens at the Rennsport Reunion back in aught-1 and for sure the rockerless look is the coolest. I still haven't got the nerve up to pull mine off though. I keep worrying about what the paint will look like underneath and I swear you have to grind off some mounting standoff type things....what's the story Jens?
Here's my car (sorry I haven't anything more current, you guys must be getting tired of the same old pix): http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1075955541.jpg |
