Retrofit crossover line without removing SSIs?
The PO of my car had SSIs installed and whoever did the work bent the existing crossover oil line (and did a really bad job) instead of installing a new one. It looks like a disaster waiting to happen. I want to address this now while I'm installing my external oil cooler and I was wondering if it would be possible to install the old style crossover oil line without the extra hassle of removing the heat exchangers. Any input would be much appreciated.

You will need to remove the driver's side exchanger. The passenger side can remain.
Good opportunity to replace leaky oil return tubes, if you have any.
