Opinions on Netrix Bushings wanted.

There's been some talk lately about Netrix bushings. I just installed a pair on my car and so far they feel great. I've heard lots of great things about them, but then heard Thom, aka widebody911, had a pair in his car and in less than 2 years they were toast.

Anybody else running them and have good or bad experiences? I'm just wondering if I did the right or wrong thing. I'm particularly interested in hearing from the guys that have them installed and have removed the spring-plate (for whatever reason) and have seen the condition of the bushings after some use.

No A/C, no Sun Roof, no power windows. Fast and light, just the way I like it. (Sad to say, it's sold. But at least it remains with us on this board.)

I put them in about a year ago and think they're fine. Seen some track time durng DE events and they seem nice and stiff. If I could do it again and had more money than I do, I'd go with Chuck's setup though.

Thom's car is driven pretty hard.

Can't think of any other reason his would fail- unless he made the mistake of using an installation lube that broke down the bushings?

I don't recall any other users mentioning the failure of the Neatrix bushings. But, it's not something that is easily checked. You have to remove the spring plate (which will mess up your rear susp. alignment) to get a look at the bushing inside the chassis. Not too many people are willing to do this unless there's something seriously wrong.

My bushings didn't outright fail per se, they're just more 'compliant' than I would like. FWIW, after they've been in for about 2 years, I think they're about the same as the factory bushings I replaced.

I put a set in (with help) about 2 years or so ago. The factory units were total toast so the difference was remarkable. So far so good. My car is 99% street but the big tires tend to put the hurts on all suspension components.
