Is it advisable to re-use 'Ny-Lock' nuts? Intuitatively, I would say not, but these look to be in very good condition. Also, I may be showing my ignorance here re: the question of synthetic oil usage vs 'dino'. Would someone kindly inform me as to what 'dino' oil is. Could it be a slang usage of the European automotive standard 'DIN' as opposed to SAE? Thanks Guys

Brian,
If the nylon is still in good shape, and when you try to screw them back on and they meet resistance, then they're okay. But they are so cheap, why not just replace them? Dino refers to dinosauers; hence oil from the ground, not esters as in synthetic. Hope this helps.

I would not reuse nylock nuts as the nylon insert premanently deforms to "lock" the nut.
Dino oils = motor oils from petroleum ( as in derived from DINOsaurs)

Brian,
There are three coommon applications of Nyloc nuts on the 911 engine where the nylon insert actually performs two functions ... sealing the stud against oil leaks, as well as maintaining a prevailing torqe/locking function! I strongly recommend using new M6 Nyloc nuts on the sump plate and chain case covers, and new M8 Nyloc nuts on the valve covers ... as both functions are degraded after removal from a dirty stud! New aluminum sealing washers are recommended to maintain the best possible seal against oil leaks, as well!
