Carerra listed at 1370 kg (3014 lbs). Difference between C4 and C4s is listed at 30 kg (66 lbs). Asssuming that difference is the additional "S" bits, one could say the C2s with those additional bits yields 1400 kg (3080 lbs)....

A widebody Carrera S is the exact same as a regular Carrera except for the 2" wider sheetmetal in the arse and a different front bumper cover.

Plus a nifty "split" rear deck lid grille/spoiler. Also, I know the 2S's didn't get the Turbo brakes like the 4S's got, but what about suspension bits?

I don't think they got the suspension pieces either Eric. I think it's literally just the body, wheels spacers and grille.

Guys, what about making a stock 993 (C2s or whatever) lighter?
is it as easy to do with a 993 like it is with an SC?

Yes. You can get it to 2800 without going crazy, and 2500 is possible if you want to make it look like a Cup car.
