What is this and what did it come off of? Guess away ......

looks like a 962 head/cylinder assembly to me. It's air cooled at the cylinder and water at the head and electron beam welded between the two sections.

Head and cylinder all one piece....4 valves....studs for dual overhead cams....central plug position...
Hmmmm...I go with Doug....motorcycle...Italian....maybe in the 50's or 60's.....Ducati?

It looks like a 956/962 watercooled cylinder head electron beam welded to the cylinder.
