MSD 6A installation in a 73E

This weekend local Pelican Green912 and I (well, mostly Green912 ) installed an MSD unit in my wife's 73E. The MSD is mounted on the forward left side of the engine compartment. The bracket was fabricated out of aluminum c-channel and some flat stock and was bolted through the fender well. The bolts through the fender well are sealed with black elastomeric (sp?) sealer and blends in well with the undercoating. The installation went quickly and it works great. If your Bosch CD box goes south like ours did, this is a great solution. Thanks Green912!
Here are a couple of pics:

What's the Al canister in front of the MSD? Is that the fuel accumulator? Or something for the MFI system?

I'm hoping to remove some parts for the CIS system on my car and mount the MSD there w/o having to pierce the body.

Thanks Travis.

Randy, that's the fuel filter for MFI cars.

I like the way you left the original factory box still mounted, I did the same on one of my cars, in case I ever want to go back. I'm thinking I might try and find a good used factory CDI and mount it as back up.
