2003 Targa - Suggestions for any "MUST HAVE" items

Just bought a 2003 Targa (midnight blue metallic), are there any "MUST HAVE" items that anyone can suggest?

It has 15 years since my last Porsche, new 1983 SC coupe (turbo look). It feels good to be back.

Thanks for any suggestions.

OK, that get's my vote for most bizarre response to a post. Maybe I don't spend enough time here to get it.

Congrats on your new car. I think the newest 911 represented here will be about 14 years older than yours so nobody will have any idea of what you are talking about in terms of "must have" items. Maybe a lipstick holder?

Congrats on your new ride. That blue is nice, I saw one the other day.

There is a strong representation of the later cars both in the 996 forum here and over on Rennlist. com, as well. It is true that this forum represents alot of the older cars.

Tim,

I just spent the last 10 minutes of my lunch break doing this

thinking there was some deeper meaning to this. Thank you, I can now get on with my life.

I tried the 996 forum, NO response (at least I get some here). I'll try Rennlist.com

Thanks

You have to give it a little time; there seems to be "windows" when there are alot of people on and the responses climb pretty quickly.

The first thing I'd do is chip it and find a turbocharger for it.

Must have's? I love the targa's - especially the 993's. I do love the Midnight Blue. If it was me - might have to have the aerokit - either factory or tech art. I don't really like the front of the stock cars.

If you don't have the factory "sport sound" package, consider an quality aftermarket exhaust. (Fabspeed, etc.)
The new cars are too darn quiet.

I met a fellow with a 993 who had a microphone in his engine compartment near the air intake. It was wired to the Aux input in his stereo. He could flip a switch and get the sweetest motor sounds in the cabin. I may do that sometime.
