Rotating the instrument light dimmer (headlight pull/on switch) suddenly has a free twirling thing going on. The shaft turns but rheostat not connected. I'd like to crawl under to take an upside down peek, but at 6'3" 260 that make it really tough.
Is this simple fix by a small(er) person?? Ted in SFla '86 Carrea Targa Blk/Blk |

Don't know about a 86 but my 84 was a piece of cake. Unscrew the knob, then use a snap ring plier to remove the attachment ring and the switch comes right out. Change the wires one at a time. I could probably do a switch replacement in 10 minutes max.

Disconnect the battery first, You have hot wires connect to the switch I found out by getting a few sparks! You kind of have to weasel the switch out, but its not too bad
