This weekend's project was to replace what was left of the driver side floorboard in my 81SC Targa. Having now replaced it, I know that the bottom half was missing!
With new floorboard, the gas pedal now has something to hit at the bottom of its travel. What is the easiest way to tell if I am getting full throttle.... please Keep it Simple, since it is new to me, I have little knowledge of where to find things... |

Easiest way is to get someone to press the throttle hard against your (new) board and check in the engine compartment whether you're against the stop

I would advise that you press the gas pedal and have someone else watch the gap at the throttle. I give my sweetie a business card and have her place it on the throttle stop. Then I floor the gas and have her see if she can pull the card out.
Once, I tried having her floor it while I checked the throttle gap. I ended up with only 80% throttle at the track because she pressed harder than I do. -Chris
