Mulholland Run Dec. 13th

So, who's on for a little Malibu canyon carving on Dec. 13th?

I just saw Kevin. He's certain his Corvair will make bratwurst of our 911s up (or down) Stunt Canyon.

Brunch at the same place afterwards?

Jack Olsen 11-26-2003 07:00 PM

Yup.

I'll try... would be great to meet you LALA guys. Details?

KevinP73 11-26-2003 08:37 PM

Not being a P-car prevents me from boasting of recent mods to the Corvair, at least on this board. Lets just say some of Mr. Yenko's contribution to the racing world will be present.

campbellcj 11-26-2003 09:53 PM

Work has put a serious damper on my extracurricular activities lately, but I'll try to show up. Exactly where & when is the morning round-up?

dd74 11-26-2003 10:08 PM

Same place, same time - 9 AM, Gelson's parking lot. I promise not to be late this time. :)

KevinP73 11-27-2003 06:40 AM

Have we agreed on a route? There was some talk of heading east into the rising sun. I'd cast my vote to repeat the route we ran last time.

dd74 11-27-2003 08:19 AM

I'm up for the same route, too.

Sounds like fun, but I may have a conflict. Put me down as a definite maybe!

Bob's Flat-Six 11-27-2003 03:40 PM

Sounds good

KevinP73 11-28-2003 06:32 AM

ooooops sorry

Hugh R 11-28-2003 07:19 AM

I'll try and go again. Maybe I can keep up this time.

Scott it won't be a O.C.E.(ongoing criminal enterprise) with out you. We'll save a parking spot just in case you can make it.

I hope you guys have a run on the 18th Jan...hint...hint...;)

I'm coming over for some interviews and house hunting from the 16th to the 24th and would love to get in on some P-car action.

Pretty pleasehttp://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pray.gif

I'll even buy the donuts and drinks!

Have fun in Dec. and be safe.

KevinP73 11-28-2003 06:13 PM

Isn't that a coincedence !! The 18th just happens to be our 1st annual Mulhulland to Someplace gathering. It's never too late to invent a good reason to gather in the hills. Let's mark our calenders.

DonDavis 11-28-2003 06:21 PM

Ok, ok, I'll try to make the Jan 18th run. And since another ride in BBII would be boring (sigh) ... maybe a ride with David or maybe even Tyson would mix things up a bit.

That just sounded ridiculous. In the event I am ever in the area at the time of one of these rides again, it would be a true pleasure to ride with ANYONE.

And thanks again for having me in October.SmileWavy

Lets all be sure NOT to forget the Jan 1st event organized by TRE Motorsports. He's expecting over 100 car this year. Not just P-cars though, Lambo's F-cars, Corvairs !!

I actually had booked for this time of year instead of a few weeks later and was stoked to find out about the TRE show. Problem was no-one wanted to interview me over the Christmas/New Year period:( Plus I think the real estate agents would be less than helpful then I think.

Look forward to seeing photos of the TRE Motorpsorts gathering. Should be awesome!

Jan 1 is also the Hangover Rally, organized by racer/restorer Phil Hill & friends. Meets in Malibu and cruises to a local park for a pea soup brunch.

It's a longstanding L.A. tradition and attracts a very wide range of cars. Usually Leno shows up...

The problem for me, Kevin, is that I think I have to be in San Bernardino around noon-ish. What I might do is go on the first part of the run, and then head out to San Bernardino. I'll have to play it by ear. If we started early, say around 8:00 a.m., that might help.

I wouldn't want to impede the OCE, however. ;)
