Nice shot, Kevin.

Now I suppose you want me to leave your reference to "Scruffy Europeanus" alone? Hah!

I think we may be going in circles here, if mr9146 happens to be related to TLG Tony... I'm working on confirming that the title on the 914-6 chassis is clean, but the psychotic drunk who owns the yard where it's stored keeps changing the rules on what can be removed.

dd74 12-04-2003 03:24 PM

Is TLG in North Hollywood?

TRE Cup 12-04-2003 04:19 PM

New Year's Day: The Reel Inn (at PCH and Topanga) will indeed be our pick up spot for those of you from the west side and up north. We'll be there about 9:30-10:am

techweenie 12-04-2003 04:21 PM

dd74: yes, TLG is in NoHo. On Rayen near Coldwater.

dd74 12-04-2003 04:43 PM

Techie - I heard he has a 3.0 turbo for sale $7.5 or $8K. Can you or anyone confirm that? Just curious...

This is some kind of crazy, schizophrenic thread. I just put the ducktail back on, with tires and brake pads for the 12/13 run.

Who's goin'?

Me ToSmileWavy and I'm expecting a new Pelican Member to Join Us. We can call her "Pelican Patti".
I'm hoping she will stop lurking and introduce herself here online.
(hint hint, Patti.)

Let's do Latigo Cyn. instead of Encinal. Really tight, but really fun for us horsepower challenged guys.

Tyson Schmidt 12-05-2003 07:14 PM

Scruffius Europeanus?

No, no, no. It's Scruffius-Teutonicus.

Scruffius Domesticus will never be in the same league as Scruffius-Teutonicus. It's in the breeding. ;)

(En Espanol, es "Escruffio-Alemanio".)

Can someone please post the meeting time and place here...its kinda confusing to sort it out by reading this thread.

Gracias

9 AM, Gelson's parking lot.

campbellcj 12-05-2003 08:20 PM

We could split up at the top and the guys who want to could go down via Decker (similar to Latigo on the twisty scale) and the others could go down Encinal, which is more sweeping and smooth. Just a thought.

After the last one, I came back up (home) over Latigo. Damn, I had forgotten how crazy that road is. I can't imagine living up there and driving that every day as a 'commute' in a regular car. I think it would get tiresome quickly....but you'd have forearms like Popeye ;)

dd74 12-05-2003 08:24 PM

I'll be there...

campbellcj 12-05-2003 08:31 PM

Hmmm, I guess I have to put my muffler back on? :D

Jeremy Cottrell 12-05-2003 08:35 PM

Decker can be too fun, Jack and Tyson can attest.

dd74 12-05-2003 08:49 PM

I used to ride up, then descend Latigo on a bicycle. Once, toward PCH, I hit about 60 mph. You haven't lived until you've two-wheel drifted a Colnago Master with 12-21 gearing, and iffy Campy brakes.

that's redundant.

try doing 50 on pavement on knobbies. Or just 30 coming off of Baldy Rd when your front wheel rolls off the rim after a quick puncture flat :(

Jeremy Cottrell 12-05-2003 08:58 PM

I wecked a Cook Bros. on Snakebellies on Wrightwood Drive, damn water in the apex
