Anyone know BlueBoxster? (Christopher Frazier)

Anyone know Christoph*r Frazi*r (Blueboxster on pelican and R*Porsch* on ebay) from Chapel Hill,NC?

I'll spare everyone the details for now, but my gut tells me he scammed me for $175.00 for a fender that never existed.

That said, half of me wants to believe this is just a misunderstanding and there is a big communication disconnect.

Anyone know him, or can vouch for him? Even better, can someone lay some guilt on him to do the right thing and either refund my payment, or ship me what he promised.

a PM is fine if you prefer to keep this offline.

Vin

I am buying some stuff from him currently. I did a search in the classifieds and someone had a problem with him not replying to PMs but he had been out of town or something and resumed timely commmunications. The parts arrived and were as advertized. Apparently, they shipped and arrived before he had a chance to send the buyer a message.

Apologies, a LEO buddy in North Carolina tells me Chris is in Raleigh not Chapel Hill.

Flieger, I wish you luck. I'm 3 weeks into waiting for a fender that still has not arrived.

The "perfect" fender I paid for developed a case of rust right after my payment cleared, the alleged tracking number Chris provided seems bogus, and Chris opted (without discussing it with me) to ship via greyhound to a bus terminal 45 miles from where I'm living as opposed to using the agreed on UPS to my door since "UPS was going to be too expensive" for him.

Mind you, HE was the one that quoted me a price with shipping via UPS. uugh.

My gut is telling me I got scammed. In fairness, I've got a PM in to him asking him to either 1) refund my money or 2) ship what he promised.

If Chris makes good I'll eat my words, offer to buy him a beer next time I'm in Raleigh, and will promptly let everyone know.

Vin, Honestly. I called them @ 617 526 1842 and it took them about 3 minutes to locate it. As I said, its there waiting for you. I didnt realize that picking up somethin four miles from your house would be a problem and it was more expensive to ship than you paid via UPS. Im happy to refund your money if you cant handle getting it picked up. -Chris

Here is the email I sent you last weeek if you did not get it....

"UPS wanted $120 to send the package, so I ended up taking it to greyhound. You will have to pick it up at this address:
SOUTH STATION TRANS CTR
700 ATLANTIC AVE
Boston, MA 02110

It is scheduled to arrive at 2:30PM on Friday (11/12). I didn't have a contact number for you so they are going to call me when it is ready for pickup and I will relay the information by email. The tracking number is 3059882826."

Vin, as a courtesy, I went ahead and refunded your paypal. Please get the people on the phone and see about picking up the fender. I mapquested the pick up from your home address and it came up as 4 miles, if thats problematic for you im sorry. UPS wanted more for shipping than you wanted for the whole fender. Id appreciate you sending on the payment due when you get a chance to pick it up. =Chris

In his defense, Chris just refunded my money.

I called Greyhound one more time 5 minutes ago, and was told in no uncertain terms that there is no package waiting for me. Tracking number is still invalid. At this point, I agree to disagree.

Funny twist for those that care.

A good buddy at one of those federal agencies with 3 letters in the name gets me Chris's home and work info. I owe my friend dinner.

Another call to a friend. Next thing I know the guy that shares a building with Chris provides a cell phone number for him. Apparently this is not the first call he has had for Chris. Count this as dinner #2 that I owe.

Strangely, this cell number is the same as the one associated with G*off Wattik*r on this board and across the internet. Also tied to r*.porsch*@yahoo.com, who sells on Ebay. As an aside, the "e" on my keyboard occasionally does not work. Go figure.

Draw you own conclusions, but I think Chris and Geoff are in fact two people, recently graduated UNC Chapel Hill together, and share a office in Morrisville NC.

I would take this one step further to confirm all this, but I'm all ready on the hook for two meals and have received my money back.

Chris asked that I edit his name from my previous posts. In fairness to him, I will.

Anyone additional that has problems with him or Geoff can contact me via PM and I will gladly provide the contact info I have.

I'll leave it to the moderators to step in if I have crossed any lines.

Edit: The problem with the photos he sent was on my computer end. Something about temporary internet files I think. When I look at them now, both photos are the struts.

Damn shame, I'm sorry for your inconvenience, to put it lightly. Here's another thread that i looked at when I saw this one. Interesting references to all mentioned here.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-used-parts-sale-wanted/356804-geoff-********-has-new-ebay-id-watch-out.html

edit-if you want to see this thread you'll have to type the purple traders last name in place of the stars. (write w a t t i k e r no spaces)

Don't know any of these people, but I can tell you, believing in this many coincidences in life is a very sad place to be.

Everyone here has day jobs, which makes it difficult to police the forums for people like this. I can understand Wayne and others desire to avoid problems with these things.

I wager a guess at one possibility why. I bet contrary to you, that these names may not even be the real names of the perpetrader(s). could be fake or stolen identities. Your quite fortunate to have had your money returned to you if it was. (I would check to make sure that the full amount had been returned to you) and close this account.

Pelican is awesome. Bad apples suck.

FWIW, I purchased what was supposed to be a 71 turn signal switch from blueboxster/reporsche/Frazier. It was similar, but I suspect a VW part. Anyway, I returned the part and he refunded the money (but not my $5 to ship it back). I'm glad to get my money back, but won't be buying parts (knowingly), from him in the future.

I have made two purchase from him, and have had nothing but the best service. My second purchase he also agreed to send me before my PayPal eCheck cleared and he did. Both items; New early tail lenses and early turn signal stalk switch were as good if not better than described.

As such he gets absolutely nothing but good feedback from me.

Thanks
Brad

I bought an Oil tank from him recently. Was much better than I expected.
Spoke several times on the phone, nice fella.

I would buy from him again no problem.

I have no bad experiences to report with this user. Maybe one of you, who stil trust him should ask user NOAH what he thinks since he banned him when his ID was discovery2, which you would see if you followd the instructions in my post above.

I purchased parts earlier this week and received a usps conf# the next day. Parts are supposed to arrive Monday (as per UPS) and I'll let ya'll know if they aren't as advertised. Up to now I've had nothing but good experience, but this thread does provide cause for worry.

I bought some green faced early gauges off Blueboxter and all was good with the transaction. Items delivered down under to Ozzie quickly and they were as described.
good experience here :-)

Thumbs up

My struts arrived as advertised. He sent them prior to receiving payment. Chris is timely with communications. I am happy to do business with him.

I purchased what was told a 5spd 915 from him. I personally picked it up and after further inspection it turned out to be a 4spd. "Chris" stated he would swap the 4spd with a 5spd later in the week. I'll update once everything is taken care of.

the used parts business is rough. What is in good condition to you, might be total Sh** to me, or it might be great to me. Sounds like the original poster doesnt want to drive 5 miles... and it seems to me that spending more on the shipping than you are paid would not be a reasonable solution. both sides generally need to be reasonable... buyer beware...

Well, I sold him my 964 a few months ago. He flew down, paid cash and drove it home. I have no issues with him!
