What we do in the NE on a Sunday...

Well, I think we are approaching the 30+ inches range for snowfall since Friday evening. I just spent the better part of today shovelling, even after my neighbor came and snowblowed (snowblew?) half my driveway.

Here is a Pcar pic:

Hope some of you are out driving today....

I ran the pickup up and down the driveway about 30 times in 4WD. The rest of it will melt in the Spring.

I know the feeling I am right here in danvers just about 20 miles nort of Boston . Our drive way had to be cleared with a backhoe there was just to much snow for the plow. 36in" wow.

BIzarrely, we only got about 10 inches here in Chelmsford... I met some Audi friends in the city today, though, and was shocked to see 3x that amount down there!

Driving was a blast though, most streets were plowed but still had 6"+ of loose snow on them.

We only got a foot-foot and a half, or so here in Providence, but my streetscape looks pretty much the same. Kcope, I did the same thing!!! The best part was busting through the snow bank from the plow!

I think this is probably a good time for us Southern Californians to keep our mouths shut.

Well considering my favorite football team lost to the Patriots today, (Dolphins) I am not sad at the snowfall. Quite frankly, I hope you all freeze your ........oh never mind. We are all friends here.

Besides, I have to leave the comfy confines of So Cal (it is actually raining and in the high 40's here in San Diego) to Washington DC for a week. Now I just have to find that bloody winter coat............

Snow....I think it is coming our way again in a few days. I have to say...it would not feel like Christmas without it.

(Plus...it gives us more time to save the $$ for all the work that is being done on the porsche this winter...ouch!)

Snow? No problem. We got a little over a foot in Worcester, MA. It took me two days to dig out. And the first thing I did after putting down the shovel was fire up the 911. C4, baby, all wheel drive. Drove straight up the side of a steep hill covered in snow without missing a beat. NE porsche fanatics just need a C4 as a winter Porsche. This is my first experience with high performance German snow driving and I am a believer. Woo Hoo !! Bring it on !! Anybody wanna autocross on The Charles when it freezes over ?!

John,

Both our "normal" cars sleep outside. I was lucky to get a one-car garage with this move. I already said that if we move again, I will need at least a 2 car garage. That should keep the talk of another house down for awhile....

I finished shovelling out this morning, and have been happily surfing the web all afternoon. Latest report was that Beverly (nearby- I think James Achard lives there) ended up with 38". I think we are around 36".

I hope this isn't an indicator of the winter to come. Maybe I will have to heed Janus and "downgrade" from an SC to a C4.

Wow, 3 feet of snow! We ended up with about a foot, but I had to shovel my mother's driveway, an aunt's and mine so it equaled 3 feet. It's stinks to be a nice guy! The extended forcast calls for warmer temps and rain. Hopefully, the rest of the winter won't be like this.

Hey All, Yup, Beverly got 36-38" I had to shovel ALL weekend since my wife is a nurse and she HAS to be at work( Sick people don't take snow days!) Anyway, I'm glad to see everyone is safe and well. Any of you NE types do any winter sports? We do a few skiing trips a year and it would be a good way to get together, even though it's not car related! Well, I guess it's a bit car related since I use snowboarding as a way to stay in shape for the next race season ;-)..

Cheers, James
