what are the rarest colors that came on the carrera 3.2?

Anything that was "paint to sample." The factory would paint a car based on any color provided by the customer.

I have an 84 with factory paint in 31g pacific blue which was not apparently available in 84.

You harldly ever see a green 3.2L Carrera, but they did make a few. There are probably other shades of green, but here are a few that I remember or have seen: "granite green", "murano green", "moss green", and "lagoon green".

Mine's Guards Red. About as rare as a 3 leaf clover.

I haven't seen many in this color lagoon green matallic it's one of those three stage paint jobs that shifts colors depending on the light

I've seen that granite green in real life and it's awesome. Also, see the other thread on peru red and there's a red velvet metallic that is incredible and apparently extremely rare.
BTW that lagoon green is awesome too. Getting a little tired of my guards red since it's my second 911 in that color.

Looked hard for dark green or dark blue on a 3.2. Never even saw one in the 2 years I was looking. Almost all are red, black or white - even German racing silver was relatively rare it seems. Today is just the reverse of those bright colored times - you look out at a freeway and 19 out of every 20 cars is black, grey, silver, or some slightly colored deep earth shade. Not a yellow or red car to be seen that's new. The wildest seems to be a car with a little bit of blue in its metallic paint.
