Add $1 more to a number that makes you sick to your stomach.

I will disqualify myself from this as I was up there this morning and saw the poor banged up girl on a lift. OUCH. Glad you made it through unscathed.

Reminds me of an old movie where an old mechanic is explaining the "art' of bidding repairs to his son:

"Son, every job has two critical numbers, the first price is where the guy feels like you've knocked the wind right out of him. The second number is where he becomes enraged and violent. The trick is to size up your customer, figure out his two prices, then split the difference."

Don't forget that it will take at least $100 in beer alone, per week.

$7501, and considering the car, your safety, and the work the TRE guys do, worth every penny.

I'm glad to see that you didn't bid Jeremy

I think we're working under Marcus of Queensbury rules...or is it Price-is-Right? It will be the closest without going over. If anyone wants to go back and change their figure based on that, feel free. But remember taking those SAT tests...you don't want to erase a correct answer, do you? :P

Yes ladies and gents, sense of humor intact. It will take a bigger piece of concrete to displace that. Now then...where are my meds?

I got a damn shirt already! How 'bout some H4s, steel Carrera flares or some damn early SC heads?

Sorry about that: Tourettes always afflicts me when I hear TRE and "price," you know.

Estimate: $7,151.73

At this point I don't know that I'm even going to mess with it. By the time you factor in the lawyer's cut, the time, aggrivation, etc. Chalk it up to "***** happens", pay the money, consider a different insurance company, and move along. Life is short, and I don't want to spend it in court. Maybe if I find a lawyer that is good and wants to take a shot, but I'm not willing to wait around to see...I want the car fixed asap.
