Push it towards the guys who think carbs are so great. When I see their stuff I am glad to have CIS. I would however be very interested in your kit!

Now for the 'beta' (pre-production) kits. The price for the 'beta' units will be $1375US + shipping. They should be ready for shipment in 2 weeks. I am waiting for some parts to come in to finish them.
These kits, will be targeted for the 3.0l engine. I'd like to sell these to folks that will be doing the conversion as soon as they get the kit. The reason is, I need some feedback on installation guide and how things fit together. You need basic tools and be comfortable with working on your car to be able to do the conversion. For example if you think changing the oil is too hard or complicated, then maybe this kit is not for you. I will provide my configuration which will get you running and make the car drivable, but there will be some fine tuning. Youl need a laptop (with a serial port) to do the fine tuning. I think the conversion can be done in one weekend, but I am somewhat biased. Feedback from users should give a better estimate. Those interested in the beta kits, please email me at info@bitzracing.com

Wow momma... look at all that space for an intercooler....
This would be awesome to setup something w/ rfng's turbo setup! I'd be very very interested in beta testing one of these kits for you, but I don't have a laptop and have no knowledge of "mapping" anything. That is the only aspect of this that scares me away. Man, if you had "me" do a beta test for you, you know almost anyone could install this kit! ![]() Bravo Tony!

Damn that's a lots sexier looking engine compartment than your typical CIS (or DME 3.2 or 3.6)!! I'm very interested, but I can't believe I'd have time to do it to soon. Do you think the final release version will be more or less $$

Considering you re-built your engine yourself, I think you are more than qualified for the installation. You really need a laptop though. You can use a desktop, it is just going to be a pain to have to come home plug in the desktop make a change and then go for a drive. People seem to fear the tuning. I've already got a working MAP for the 3.0l 911SC engine. The setup on my 1978 911SC will come pre-programmed. You should be able to start the car and driveaway. The variations in intake path and ports of the later 911SC will require the fine tuning.

I think the price for the complete kit is a bargain if you compare it to a complete TEC II system with throttle bodies ($10K). The kits are not the same, but it gives you an idea what it would currently cost you to go the EFI route with a production kit.

Just to be clear the kit assumes you will use your existing CIS airbox as is. Air will follow the same path as it does in CIS. If you want the same setup as pictured above you will need to hackup your airbox and get an airfilter and a 90 degree boot:
Here is a list of what is included in these beta kits. 1 MegaSquirt ECU 1 Main wiring harness (from MegaSquirt to engine bay) 1 Fuel injector wiring harness with mating connector 1 ¼” plastic loom for engine bay wiring dress up (15’) 6 CIS to EFI injector bung 6 High impedance fuel injectors 1 Fuel pressure regulator 2 Aluminium Fuel rail 4 Fuel rail mounting bracket 4 M6x40 bolt (for mounting fuel rails) 4 M6 Nut, flat washer, lock washer 2 Fitting: -6AN male flare to –6AN O-ring 2 Fitting: -6AN male flare to –6AN swivel O-ring, 90 degree elbow 4 Fitting: -6AN swivel female flare to ¼” barbed 1 Vacuum hose (7/64” ID) 12’ length 8 Fuel injection hose clamps for ¼” hose 1 Fuel injection fuel hose (¼” ID) 6’ long 1 3 wire heated oxygen sensor with mating connector 1 Weld on oxygen sensor bung 1 Air temperature sensor with mating connector 1 Engine temperature sensor mounted on 5/16” terminal ring 1 1/8” plastic male nipple for vacuum pickup on air box 1 ATO fuse holder with 20Amp fuse 1 ATO fuse holder with 5 Amp fuse 1 ATO fuse holder with 3 Amp fuse 15 Red butt connectors 3 Blue 5/16” stud terminal ring 1 Red #10 stud terminal ring 2 Red T-TAP connector with mating blade 1 Tool: butt crimper, wire cutter 1 ½” black Snap bushing 15 Tie Wraps 1 Roll of electrical black tape 1 Velcro pad 1 Straight through serial cable

Now I'm getting even more curious.
I just have so many questions. I am going to start on page one and go through the entire thread. I wonder how your system will work with later SC's with the lambada brain. Does it get completely removed? Ok, I'm gonna start reading now.

Tony, I do not and will not open a whole new can of worms here, but I was thinking ... would it/could it be beneficial to use the intake runners from a 3.2 Carrera???
I am so excited about this. My CIS system has been acting up lately, and I think with the right amount of persuasion, I coulde get the wife to go for something like this. All I really have to say is "Honey, better gas mileage!"

Never mind about the carrera runners. I was thinking it may work because of a pic I remember seeing on Mark Hargett's site of the beast. It looks like he did some serious fabrication there with the two manifolds and the throttle body.

The beauty of this system is you can use your existing CIS intake runners and airbox. No need to spend a fortune on carrera intakes.

Hmm.. From the looks of it for us NA guys you might want to look into a kit that includes TWM throttle bodies. The cost would be significantly higher(1500 for the t-bodies) but for those of us running wild cams it would be great since it would cost about as much as a set of PMO's.
Just a thought.

Tony, incredible work. I have a 78SC w/Euro 9.8:1 p/cs, ssis and CIS. Looking for an upgrade. Have you dyno'd this setup vs CIS yet? And, could a cam hotter than 964 be used? Thanks!

- GT-2 evo cams 485intake lift 464ex. 112 lobe center 20 overlap. He says it runs great. I have not dyno'd the car yet and don't want to make wild claims that have no scientific data to back it up. There is definitely a gain in power. Also the engine revs much quicker than with CIS. I have tuned the car for power, but still manage to get 25mpg on the highway. I think this can be improved if your after fuel economy. I'm after more power ![]()

how easy is it to switch programs? It'd be nice to have a performance map, and emissions test map, and a fuel efficiency map. It'd be even nicer if you could switch between them on the fly.

It is very easy. No need to open up the ECU or change any chips. Just have a serial port connection from the laptop to the ECU and you download the new MAP. MAPS can be changed in 5 seconds as many times as you like.

Do you have to purchase the software seperately?
