Factory 73 RSR muffler question
I'm trying to duplicate the factory 73 RSR muffler but I have a few questions. 1) How were the caps fixed to block off the twin pipes for low noise driving? 2) For track use, were all three pipes left open, or was the single side pipe capped off? 3) Does anybody have any pictures, or advise on the factory 73 RSR muffler they can share?

This may not be a 'factory' RSR muffler. These photos were taken arund 1979. But, for what it's worth:

Greetings,
The RSR did not have mufflers. They had megaphones. The three tip Rally muffler would have caps to quiet the car in some sections of a Rally usually in town. There was also a two outlet muffler simillar to above that was used as a rally/race muffler on the R ST and other rally cars that did not have caps. Best, Don |
