Removing AC engine bracket from a 3.2

Can anyone give me some advice on the removal of the AC compressor bracket that is mounted to the engine to the right of the fan?

I tried removing the bottom bolt underneath and the other bolt near the fuel injectors but the thing won't budge. Actually, I can get it to budge about a mm if I use a hammer.

Is this bracket only removable with the engine out of the car?

Mahalo in advance!

you should only need to remove the muffler.

Are there more than two bolts holding it in place? I should probably clarify that I was able to remove those two obvious bolts at the bottom and top.

You have to remove the muffler to access the last of the bolts.

Get a mirror, there is a secret bolt somewhere. Can't remember exactly where though.
Will check mine after breakfast and let you know where it is.

Once you remove the muffler, look for additional bolts behind the engine mount and just below.

I'll third (or fourth) that the muffler has to come off to get to the last bolts.

Chris.

You guys are awesome!!! I had no idea that there as another bolt hidden behind the muffler. I just removed the whole thing and now my 911 weighs one AC bracket less.

Happy Holidays!
