Which exhaust system

I know this has been up before, but I`ll choose exhaust system for my-74 911 3.2, and the question is should I go with the SSI or Maxflow systems. Is there any dynosheets available for these systems? Any other suggestions, otherwise the 3.2 is standard.

I personally like the SSI. It's like bolting jewelry under your car, and I don't believe anything beats its performance for small and mid-displacement 911's. Jack O. seems to like another system, perhaps because it has better flow characteristics for his 3.6 liter fire-breathing monster. I'd guess that your stock 3.2 would do just fine with the SSI's.

I just put SSI's on with a Dansk 2 in 1 out muffler. It made a big difference with a smooth torque curve and better throttle response. And it sounds great. IMO, its the best bolt on upgrade avaliable. A little pricey though.

SSI's and a Dansk muffler are assets on any car.

If this board had a FAQ, the answer to the perpetual exhaust question should be at the top of the list.

SSI's are the way to go.
Season to taste with a muffler of your choice, but be aware of quality, fitment, noise and resonance issues between brands. 2/1 Dansk (as recommended by SSI themselves) has given me absolutely no regrets.

SSI's are definitely the winner on build quality, by everything I've heard. But I was under the impression that the benefits of going to SSI's aren't as great on the 3.2 motor as the 3.0-and-smaller ones.

I'm no expert on exhaust, but isn't the hot ticket for the Carrera to go with the Euro pre-muffler, a gutted stock (or sport) muffler, and a modified DME chip? If my memory is working, doesn't this give you SSI-level performance, but without the $1500+ price tag?

Hello,

i would stay clear of H & S unless you like expensive, noisey systems (not withstanding their high quality).

as jack said, and what i have is a euro premuff, and sport muff.

Thanks Bill, but no better side pictures. However the rear is to low and front to high, but that will be corrected after I´ve done the brakes.

Color is Riviera blue, it looks a little darker in garage, due to poor light.

Maxflow, I´m not sure name is correct. The system is sold by Design911 in UK, at approx GBP 1.000.

No RUF or Strosek exhaust on the BBS??
