Loren, do you hate children and kick dogs too? Admit that Steve has tons of satisfied customers and that perhaps he has the secret to the pyramids to the Motronic mapping, you cast dispersions when you use "reputable" when referring to Steve and his chip. Read the replies to this and all the other threads on this same subject and you will see a pattern. I think this topic has been discussed "ad nauseum". How many guys have used a chip burned by Loren with such positive responses? Speak up gentleman.

Have good feelings.... Oh, No hard feelings.

Just put my "Steve" chip in this Christmas, I also noticed an improvment. Runs better, and has a little more pull than before.
I am very happy with this chip.

Keep up the good work Steve!

Sorry to you guys if you have read this same type of post a 100
times from others.

Stevestromberg, really, they cause countless engine failures and you know this for fact? Yikes! I had better take mine out.

I didn.t have all the documentation required by Ed Cunnen
the supposed king of COPO's even thoough I spent an 8 year restoration of the car. It was stolen at one time in its history
and had a Kansas assigned VIN #. The block was correct with
512 stamping and the heads were 840's with the same day casting code's. I had planned to keep the car forever but my wife had a round of breast cancer and I sold my Bank account? I had toyed with the idea of running a digital fuel injection, but just put it together stock. I'm sure I could of made a motronic work now that I understand the system.

Kepperly, sounds like an very cool car, too bad you had to part with it under some very tough circumstances. Hope all turned out well. I am with you on your thoughts about Steve's chips.

Boy Loren, you took it on the chin here! I have to say in Loren's defense that he did a great job on the DME that I recently purchased from him. Would I be terrible if I put a SteveW chip in it? ;-)

It might work OK, but you will not be able to hear the engine over the noisy argument coming out of the DME box.

I probably already mentioned it, but at 150k and still running strong.

Would there actually be benefits from a chip, being that most of the components might see a little more work/wear with a computer change in fuel/air/timing ratios to enhance the power curve.

I am sure the cat could use replacement
