Idle setting and timming with strob light.

What should I set my idle at. 1978sc with 964 cams. Seems to sound and idle better at 1000rpms then at 900. Also what should I set the advance at. Should it be the same as a regular 3 liter with sc cams or should it be differen't because of the 964 cams?

Hi: It should idle fine at 900 RPM. Make sure that you do not have any vacuum leaks. Set total ignition timing at 35 deg at 6000.

I'm SURE I have a vac leak somewhere, but have no idea how to find it, short of replacing all of my vac hoses or engaging in dangerous behavior with a propane tank.
