Passenger seat controls backwards..
My '88 coupe passenger seat electric controls work backwards....
Press the arrow forward and the seat back goes backwards. Push the button backwards and the seatback goes forwards. Is this normal? If not, how can I fix it? |

Polarity wrong. Maybe someone took cables off the motor and put them on backwards?

The wires can be a pain to get to up under the seat, but with the seat all of the way up you might be able to contort your self. I think the easiest way would be to unscrew the two screws, twist the switch around and screw it back in.

Thanks for the great suggestions
I would have never thought of the obvious - flipping the switch!
I'll give that a try. I have to get the seat out to fix the fact that it seems to be jammed as far as moving fore and aft - so perhaps I can switch the motor wires at that time. thanks! |

You could always just buy my car instead of fixing yours!! My seats work just fine.
