Cold Start problem

This morning my 1985 3.2 gave me a hint at trouble. Wouldn't start without feahtering the throttle to keep it going. The starter worked fine. Once warm it worked fine as usual. When cold this morning it wouldn't idle well - had to use throttle to keep it going until warm.

It was probably 50 degrees out.

Hints? Suggestions?

I am in So Cal and have had the car for 14 years. Can anyone recommend a service center to work on the car in south Orange County? I am not sure I want to take it back to the place I used for the last few years.

Also, off topic, I have a 550 Spyder replica that need a real good tuner for the webers and the engine in general...can anyone recommend a shop good at performance VW engines?

Thanks,
Mike
