Acceleration question

I have a 1985 911 that is new to me. (about three weeks) I have noticed that under acceleration I get a little hesitation at 3200 and 3600 rpms. The car pulls very strong at rpms higher than 3600 and pulls well between 200-3200. Does anyone have any ideas to look for?
