Warren...more great advice. Pat S. and I spread the 14 pin, and it seemed to work well...for a while. I can't help but think it's something somewhere else though. We cleaned the connections, spread them, and hit them with Dialectric grease. But that was the 14 pin from the back (or front) of the engine compartment. So, I'll start with that one for today's endeavor.

Thanks,

mto

Porsche Crest

mto,

The Blue wire has to pass thru BOTH sets of 14-pin connectors!

Sorry, I couldn't make it. I spent the day running different wires... I added two seperate circuits for my compressor and my welder to my basement and garage. Now hopefully I can use both without tripping the breaker.

Well...after hours and hours of work, I have a nice bright alternator light when I turn the key, that promptly goes out. I also installed a blank where the radio is supposed to go and installed a VDO Voltage gauge. Right now it's reading perfectly, and the car is running great. BUT>I've been down this road before. We'll see if it sticks. I'll take some pics of the Gauge install if anyone wants to see it.

Thanks for all the help!

Well...the gremlins strike again. 5 minutes into the first longer test drive, the lights dim, and the gauge drops to less than 12 V. It stayed that way the whole rest of the night.

Anyone want to buy a Porsche?

Sigh...
