Thumbs up Chip and exhaust install...WOW!!!

OK, it goes like this. I installed my Dansk SS pre-muffler today....thanks Kurt, along with a Dansk SS Sport muffler w/ single 84mm tip, thanks Pelican. Hardest part was removing the old bolts and nuts...thanks Dremel.

So, then we decide to install my Steve W chip, (93 octane). The install went as smooth as glass. Everything was clearly written and explained in the instructions, took about 45 min even with vacuuming under the seat.

So...then it's time to take her out for her first spin. Even though it was a little wet in some spots due to snow a few days ago I decide to go out.

She starts up and is as smooth as a baby's butt, idled better than stock.

HOLY FREAKIN $$$IIITTT!!!!!

THE CAR PULLS LIKE MAD FROM A DEAD STOP, NO MORE WAITING FOR 4200 RPMS FOR IT TO COME ALIVE. IT HAPPENS NOW!!

The car flat out screams like a banshee, right up to 6200, I could have gone a little more but I am trying to control myself.

All I can say is all you nay sayers and non belivers REPENT for Steve W is the Messiah (pardon me any religious types)

Steve, absolutley FANTASTIC!!! Imperical data my A$$. I've got all the imperical data I need, right in the seat of my pants! I nearly scared the crap out of my son a few times and he's used to going fast.

And it sound great too! Throatier than stock but not offensive.

Nuff said, no mas, that's it, finito, basta, fin, end of friggin story.....it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also ran it with no exhaust and did a little water misting into the intake. Not alot of black stuff at all, but it really drove the nieghbors nuts, and sounds so good with open exhaust.

I bet you're loving the new 'flat 6 music' when ya drive now too ! I did my upgrades one at a time sport muffler, then premuffler, with the SW chip being last. I didnt' get the 'all at once' sensation that you're experiencing, but put 'em all together, and she's a different car now. Enjoy!

edited...ps: I just notice your year...I'm sure you got a bigger boost from the SW chip than I did as the factory mappings had improved by '88.

KC911...the difference is astounding! I'm kinda glad I did it all at once but it would have been interesting to see how each piece has it's own effect.

Mikez...As far as suspension, it's a Turbo Look car, so I already have nice sway bars, just did new Turbo tie rods and lowered the car. I've already got the Turbo brakes so I think? I'll stop there.

But I'm always willing to hear suggestions.

Unfortunatley it snowed again and now it's raining so there won't be any driving for a while. I'll just run it in the garage and annoy my wife.
Cheers to all, I can't get this smile off my face! Mike

Nice - and I feel 100% the same with almost the exact same mods as you - I have a dual out Dansk which I am sure is good for another 10 seat of the pants HP (Kidding of course)

Congrats and welcome to the herd!

Congratulations NY65912, glad to have been part of the combination, although I am not the Messiah Soon the chips will be available for purchase through Pelican, which by default will be for 91 octane. Special programming such as for 93 still needs to be by special request.

Cheers!
