Too many days spent outdoors in the florida humidity and condensation took the twinkle out of my baby's eyes.
A fellow pelican at a gathering a few months ago was nice enough to tell me how simple it was to wash out the insides of the lights to get that like new look back. How right he was.

350HP930,
Big improvement! How hard was it to do? How did you clean the lenses?

I did mine with an alcahol soaked terry cloth swab rubber-banded to the end of a long drill bit (not the business end). Worked great. Did it almost 2 yrs ago and they're still clear as a bell.

Honestly 350 - I thought you went twin turbo when I saw this post.
Good work all the same.

Is it important to heat them up on the stove top?

I just swished around several doses of windshield washer fluid on the insides to remove the haze.
Mine were not bad enough to need any internal swabbing. I did heat them up a bit in the stove just to speed up the drying process though. Just make sure to remove the desiccant/breather cartridges from the lights first so you don't destroy them. |
