shouldn't this be attached to something

Hello all - can someone help me in identify the un-attached hose laying in the back of the engine bay up against the fire wall. I recently had the transmission worked on and just now noticed this hose while looking around the engine.

Thank you to all,
Brendan

Look's like you A/C hose? Thats not good to leave it unhooked? WTF didn't the guy who worked on your car check his work out before he gave it back to you.
