I once had this problem with feral cats jumping up on the wing of my Mooney (aircraft for the unitiated). I used a have-a-heart animal trap to snare the boogers and then let them loose in a fancy neighborhood with multimillion $ houses. I figured if they could make a living in my airplane hanger they would prosper around those digs.

Traping them and taking them to the pound will teach them to stay away. It might also teach the owners to keep them indoors at night. Once a cat has spent some time in one of those traps they will stay well away. Carefull tho, I once caught a skunk and a couple of possems.:D ;)

I'll second the Moth Ball suggestion. It works...cats and dogs hate the smell...and it's cheap. Just put them where the cats are coming in.

Also works if you have the little buggers crapping in your garden. Sink 'em in jsut below the surface.
