The new 7&9" Fuchs - WOW
Just had to post a pic of the new wheels. Makes a great difference. I'll have to find a before picture. If you've stumbled on to one of my other threads about budget decisions, I'm ashamed to say this is one of the reasons the budget won't stretch as far. Oh well.

Too big to fail

You had spaces and parenthesis in your file name, which breaks the parsing routine. I changed your spaces to %20s, which will work if I paste it into my URL window, but it won't work with the IMG tags.

Looks really nice! What size tires do you have? How high at the fender lips?

What?

Looks great. Take a picture from the rear so we can see the width of the wheel and tire.

Nice car. Rims look great.
White is one of my favorite 911 colors....behind Guards Red (#1), Black and that Ocean Blue colour... |

K9 - Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the comments. I'll head out in a minute and snap a couple more pictures. The rear tires are 245/45/16 and the front are 205/55/16. The shorter side wall in the rear has changed the height a little. I believe it's 26" to center of the lip in front and 25 1/4 " in the rear. Once I decide on the new suspension components and install them I'll have the height adjusted along with corner balance and alignment. The folks at Dougherty Auto services ( DAS) did the install and said that clearance should not be a problem. No lip rolling etc. I haven't run it hard yet, but the drive home from the shop was just fine. My understanding is that there is very little benefit of a 9" width over an 8" rim. You would still runn a 245 45. I'll try posting some other shots shortly to give a better sense of width. Jeff

Jeff, that looks outstanding!!
Mine was recently lowered to 24 1/4 in the front. Looks good, but is a bit low for comfortable driveway entry/exits. I'm proly gonna take it back to 24 3/4. |

Thanks..This purchase was your fault. I saw a picture of your car parked outside of John Walkers and the wheels looked outstanding. A quick e-mail from you confirmed the size and it was off to the bank. Thanks again Jeff C
