Porsche sounds on the Internet

As some of you may have read I was behind a Ferrari 365 GTC today on the way in to work. The sound was "give you wood" amazing, so I was bouncing around the internet looking to see if I could find a sound byte of a Ferrari that came close.

Well in my search I found a page with a bunch of sounds of cars including several Porsches of many years and models. I thought some of you guys in the cold north might appreciate this and be able to use it to stay warm on those long cold winter nights.

The 2.0L sounds really awesome!
The 935 sounds pretty good to, but there's a driveby of a 3.0 RSR that is simply amazing.

They also have one of the first copies of Carrera GT sound that Porsche had up on their website. It was one of the best. Nearly sounds like an F1 car.

Great site. It stimulates the imagination.

Listen to the 930 Turbo mp3 using stereo speakers. There is very good channel separation as the car drives around the track. Big time doppler effect.

That is a great site. No kidding...the GT sound bite was incredible. Amazingly, the MP3's were very accurate. The 911 SC had a nice growl at the end.

www.944-fans.de has a nice collection of sound files with Porsches. There're also videos.

Masraum;
Check out the videos at Tom Yangs Ferrari site. Admittedly Yang has an earlier Ferrari (330 America), but the videos have great incar sound. Be sure to also check out the 312 start-up video.

2.0 is nice, it sounded like it could rev forever, I wish my 2.2T sounded like that. C GT was the best though, hands down, I'm going to go buy a lottery ticket.

This video in particular is quite nice.

At least the motor is behind the driver. I'd love to drive the thing, but I'm sure I'd not really be able to handle a machine like that.

Oh, yeah, last night I just downloaded the whole site (the one that I posted) I figured it would be easier to do that and then go back later and sort through the sound files on my hard drive.
