Sparco Evo2 Seat Install
The install was a bit more involved than I had expected. I was figuring on just removing the four bolts of the factory seats and bolt up the new seats.
After wrestling with the Sparco floor bracket and sliders, the seat would not position well. It was seat was too high and the brackets were too narrow for the seat. Maybe they were brackets for Evo's not Evo2's? Anyway, I made the decision to mount the seats directly to the floor. This method gave me the perfect seat position and I actually gained headroom. The only drawback is that the seats are fixed, no adjustments fore and aft. Finished up about midnight last night but sat in them for about another hour....amazed at how nice they feel. A BIG THANKS TO CORY JUMP! Before: After:

What hardware did you use to mount the seats to the floor? How much headroom did you gain?

Cory's a great guy, isn't he. He did the PPI on my car before I bought it, spend an entire Saturday afternoon with us at his shop when he hadn't planned to be there. The seats look great, good job!

I had a similar issue mounting my Evo2s - the factory sliders ate up too much headroom. I simply mounted the Sparco brackets to the factory seat mounting rails. I also lost fore and aft adjustment, but the seat height is great (it's very low in the car).
Here's a pic: Worked great. Mike

Just a word of caution....I know the Sparco colored seats (red, blue, etc.) tend to fade after a while when left in the sunlight...not sure about the black ones though.
Looks nice, Wes |

Mounted mine just like Mike's...
Gained at least an inch or two of head room. Before I always felt my head was too close to the top of the window. Now I'm looking through the mid/top of window. Thanks for the word of caution on the fading... Luckily it spends most hours in the garage...

With so many work commitments, my first driving event will probably be in May....I've already registered for the August DE at Summit Point.
v9ff, Do you always unzip your rear window when you put your top down? I don't think I've ever unzipped it....is that bad?

![]() Love the roll-bars in your Cab ![]() Is it a custom setup, or an off-the-shelf aftermarket item? Where did you get it from?

DAS rollbar (off-the-shelf) that I had powdercoated silver. Fit and finish is just about perfect.

I just used those same Sparco mounting brackets for my Corbeaus. Are you sure they are not reversed? I installed mine with the round holes in the rear and the oblong holes up front so I could *recline* the seat if needed. The oblong holes would account for the *arc* as you raise the front of the seat.. Then again, maybe I installed mine backwards
![]() Nice looking install! -b
