another reason to buy from PP
I did my taxes last night, got to the State income tax portion for California, and would you believe ... there is a line for you to declare how much stuff you buy over the internet from out of state (and therefore did not pay any oppressive fees euphemistically called excise tax). You can declare that and pay the State of california 8% for excise tax.
I had honestly forgotten all the stuff I bought from out of state and so left the line blank. Plus I don't believe that an individual state can erect a trade barrier against interstate commerce by trying to levy an excise tax. Any Cal resident buying stuff from PP automatically pay the sales tax and won't need to ... forget to declare this type of activity on their tax returns. That's it, buy from PP and be a taxpaying stand up resident of Cal.

Michigan does the same thing. They actually expect people to pay state taxes on item purchased through the mail! Of course I keep records of every purchase I make so I can pay my fair share!!!
