Another photographic entree -- '74 RS replica
Here's a selection of new photos of the '74 RS to accompany the photos I originally posted a couple of weeks ago. The new batch of photos were taken at the replica's top-secret location in Melbourne, a bad location for photos, which is why ...
... I used the flash for this interior shot: ![]() Some light coming in through a nearby window meant I didn't have to use the flash for the sshot of the front, Connolly hide-covered seats, the ass-kickin' amplifier, and the (excessive) 100-litre racing fuel cell. ![]() ![]() Although I had to use the flash again for this shot of the underside of the engine -- pretty clean, eh? ![]() The flash again for a photo of one of the Fuchs and the caliper and rotor behind it. ![]() The 4-inch exhaust tip: ![]() One of the aero mirrors: ![]() The horizontal oil cooler: ![]() Here's a flash-lit shot of -- what I believe to be -- a one-off intake system. ![]() Maybe someone can tell me why it's created a lot of interest since it was first revealed in the original engine shot of the car … ![]() Many of you will pleased to know that my brother, who currently owns a '76 Targa, is going to buy the Carrera 2.7! I'm so happy! I wanted this car -- this heirloom -- to stay in the family so I could still play with it. My brother has just told me that he's now going to get his competition licence, which means I'll be able to race against my old car! ****** rad!

Wow that’s the best possible scenario, you get your new car and your old one stays in the family so you will still get to drive it. I’m jealous.
We will have to go for another run sometime.

adomakin,
I should have some more photos tomorrow. Bill, Well, I'm left-handed, so shifting with my left hand is ideal. Having said that, I enjoyed shifting with my right hand while I lived in California. Curiously, it's my stronger hand. Merv, Well, settlement is today, which means I'll get to drive it this week. It should be officially mine in a couple of weeks.

Wow. Didn't realise the interior was so luxurious. The best of both worlds.

Chris,
It'll have a race seat before too long, and, eventually, RS door panels.

Matt,
Thanks for sharing more photos of your (very soon to be) RS. Very cool indeed. Being able to keep your Carrera 2.7 in the family is also outstanding. The best of both worlds. Don't be too hard on your brother at the track
