correct shade of red for S shroud

is there a rattle can color/brand that is close?

You will not be able to paint it and make it look "right" since they are color-impregnated fiberglass, but if you must paint it just pick 'normal red' and that will be close enough.

They tend to look a little faded as opposed to, say, Guards Red. Mine has given up to be faded plastic pinic tray red.

Remove and treat with a fiberglass renewal polish -- rub in well over & over again. You may be surprised.

There was an item in Pano re using a VW red paint that gave an exact color match but as noted above the tone will not be the same.

Chuck would know. I cleaned mine well with mineral spirits, then with laquer thinner. I then hit it with a satin clear. Looks great. All the red paints are not "deep" enough or too deep. Plus it will darken with age and temp wear.
