Car. Exploded view
An update on my restoration project. I'm doing the final prep work for the repaint. I have wanted to take an "expolded view" photo and here it is.
I decided to leave the fasteners and such out of the picture..... The car is as light as ever. My kids like to push it around. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1078540166.jpg For info on the project: Targa project I am likely going to do a color change from the Copper Brown Metallic. Dark Blue is the favorite. Where is your favorite place to look for evidence of a color change? - so I can get it covered! |
Good luck with the project. Please document and take pictures along the way (as you've been doing). This is great!

Here is the trunk before I stripped the hardware, heat stripped the undercoating from the floor to evaluate for rust, used Metal Ready and POR - 15, then sprayed rubberized undercoating. Rust was only surface along the weld.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1078548565.jpg 1 - What paint treatment is used here? It seems like the exterior color is only an overspray on top of a sealer. Most repaints of tubs make this a solid color coat - but if I am going to emulate an original color does anyone have a suggestion? 2 - The holes in the bottom of this well had the remains of a rubber valve thing left in them (similar to what drains the tail lights on my 75) - sort of a nozzle valve to allow drainage but prevent road water from getting in - anybody have a link or a name for the Pelican Part? Bell - Can I change the color on my CA title?? |
Impressive~~~~~!
