Car. Exploded view

An update on my restoration project. I'm doing the final prep work for the repaint. I have wanted to take an "expolded view" photo and here it is.

I decided to leave the fasteners and such out of the picture..... The car is as light as ever. My kids like to push it around.

For info on the project: Targa project

I am likely going to do a color change from the Copper Brown Metallic. Dark Blue is the favorite.

Where is your favorite place to look for evidence of a color change? - so I can get it covered!

Good luck with the project. Please document and take pictures along the way (as you've been doing). This is great!

Engine bay, under the trunk carpet, under the interior carpet, and around any seals (on a cheap respray, which a lot of color-changes are - they never remove the windows.

Here is the trunk before I stripped the hardware, heat stripped the undercoating from the floor to evaluate for rust, used Metal Ready and POR - 15, then sprayed rubberized undercoating. Rust was only surface along the weld.

1 - What paint treatment is used here? It seems like the exterior color is only an overspray on top of a sealer. Most repaints of tubs make this a solid color coat - but if I am going to emulate an original color does anyone have a suggestion?

2 - The holes in the bottom of this well had the remains of a rubber valve thing left in them (similar to what drains the tail lights on my 75) - sort of a nozzle valve to allow drainage but prevent road water from getting in - anybody have a link or a name for the Pelican Part?

Bell - Can I change the color on my CA title??
