I don't think I'd buy a sportscar with Tip/Sporto, I'd buy a Peppervagen with it .... oh wait, I already did. ;)

BTW: I use Tip-mode w/thumb shifters 90% of the time - it's awesome! Probably explains my 13MPG .....

I'd get the only one on the list with over 300 horsepower.

When I hear "it has to be a tip" means "the wife will let me have a Porsche but she has to be able to drive it. And she can't/won't drive stick".

Make it a 993.

Couldn't choose from the list 'cuz I wanted one w/ more than 400HP out of the box and then massaged to beyond 500.

Now all I need is an accomodating sugar mama to fund it :D

Actually, the wife happily drives a stick (and I'll leave it at that). It is more along the lines of a messed up back and *I'm* having trouble working multiple pedals. We'll see how meds and therapy work...

What are your needs?

In the early ‘70s we built a new 2.4E Sportomatic with hand controls and all the other accommodations. It worked really well and was fast.

These days there are all sorts of experienced professionals who can make a 911 work for anyone.

Best,
Grady

Sporto with hand controls? I love it! Is it like the modern paddle shifters seen on some high end sportscars?

Benson 03-08-2004 03:43 PM

I went with the majority. 993!!!

Some people think only the elite snobes shoud hve a new Porsche?

OK! E-mail me. I will take one.

The way my knee has bothered me of late, I can see why I may go to a tip some day. When/if the day comes I'd go with the 993. Drove one some time ago and really enjoyed it. Of course I'd have to test drive all of the new stuff first.

I know that pain, Had back pain for years when I was younger. I was always limping around with sciatic nerve pain in one leg or the other. You feel about 50% and can't get a good nights sleep.

I get it once in a while now but it is pretty much gone, just went away?? And I can pick up heavy stuff, But I'm carefull.

Hmmmm, Maybe the nerve died from all the abuse ? :D

Todd, Keep the stick and get a good looking chauffer?
