I want your 3.2.

I've been looking for a solid somewhat local 3.2 for my SC. The few I've found were sold to the current owners from someone else with the intention of installing, but changed thier minds. Not out of the question, but I'm still looking.

In the process, I see 3.6s everywhere. Even on my side of the country. I just can't justify the added expense of the 3.6 as fun as it would be. So you guys with the really nice 3.2s need to get off tour Arses and upgrade to a 3.6 and sell me your engine. And hurry the helll up. My 3.0 is out of the car and sold to another pelican. Sitting in my car making Vroom sounds is getting really old.

Have you driven the 3.2?? I've driven several SCs and 3.2s and don't notice much difference at all on the butt dyno...I'd hold out for the 3.6.

The main reason for the conversion is the updated FI. The CIS just made me nuts. Even the guy that bought my engine is converting it to EFI. For a number of reasons I didn't want to go that way.

Anyway the 3.6 has a lot more power, but the 3.2 with a better chip and my SSIs shoulod put out about 220 - 230. That's 20-30 more than my 3.0 with SSIs. Not mind bending, but should be noticable.

Jeff,

Where were you six months ago???

Hey, I pulled my 3.2 out and sold it to a fellow Pelican member. He has not installed it yet and was talking about doing something else with the car.

If you are interested, pls email me at: joeaksa@attglobal.net

It was the orginal motor for my 85 model car, 96k and in good condition. I pulled it for a 3.6 transplant.

I was in San Diego at ICE Air checking out their Porsche A/C install kit last week. They seemed like nice guys and had a decent setup. The owner? was a porsche guy and showed me a clean looking 3.2 that he said he intends to sell...had bought to put in his '73, but changed his mind. Might be worth a call or email.
Disclaimer: I don't know these guys, the condition of the engine or the price...Here is some contact info.

Mike,

No idea. Was emailing with him last week and asked what was up with "my" old motor and he said that they had sold the wifes 911 and were not sure what they were going to do with the 3.2!

Will send him this and lets see...

Joe

I spoke to Steve W the other day and he was doing some dyno runs on a 3.2 with some mods pulling 275-280 at the crank. It's no too difficult to get a 3.2 with more power then a 3.6. (Adding 3.4's is a start!)

Joe,

Is your old engine still in Phoenix?

I wish I'd had more time to vist at the fly-in. You looked pretty busy and the kids were worn out. We left right after we ran into you.

DC Automotive in CT has one listed for $4500. Might be worth a call to Rob to see what else he has in stock or will be getting in soon. Also Hershey Swap meet is right around the corner.

3.2

FWIW, I have a complete 3.2 for sale. Nice motor, about 70K on the clock. Comes with exhaust, FI, wiring harness DME relay and DME brain.

You sure it wasn't a 3.6? I think it is very expensive to get that kind of power out of a 3.2 and a 3.6 would be cheaper for the same power.

I've got Joe's 3.2 and we sold the wife's Project car she still has her SC. The 3.2 is still here at my place of work since it's climate controlled.
Email if interested.I live outside St. Louis Mo and can work something out as for the shipping.
Thanks.
