Matte is where it's at.
I was in line at the grocery store today. There is a new magazine called "Cargo" which is supposedly a men's buyer's guide of gadgets and clothes and whatnot (I think it's like Maxim w/o the girls, articles and interviews - I did't spend a lot of time reading it)
Anyway, on page 88, there is a short 1/4 page article about how the anti-bling is now Matte paint. No shine. There was also a photo of a guy painting what looked to me like a red 911 coupe. The photo and article may not be related, but is it one of you guys? Didn't a Pelicaner just ditch a flat black paint job? He was on to something! ![]()

I've seen a lot of Chevy Corsica's obtain this same finish. Not hard, just leave em in the sun all day and never wash or wax them. The matte finish will soon follow.

Actually I decided to keep it Matte Black. I'm considering exactly what to use for the respray though, so it will be UV stable. But i'm keeping scruffy's original character, but adding gloss black Carrera RS graphics over the Matte Black.
