Kevin's intructions were a big help! Thanks again KTL, you da man .
First thing we did was remove the old plastic grill and place the Carrera tail on the decklid. We traced the tail with a non-permanent marker.

Next, we figured out where to drill the holes using the nuts that the allen screws thread into.

Then we drilled the holes for where the rear support rail goes. I got the rail from the Porsche dealership, FYI know the part number because my local dealer didn't have a clue as to what support rail I needed.
(Porsche decklid support rail: P930-512-281-00)

We used these brackets that came with the metal grill to mount the front end of the tail to the top of the decklid, this required some drilling to the inside of the tail to get it aligned right onto the decklid. Most hardware stores don't carry these brackets, but you can order them from your local Porsche dealer.

Last step was to attach the tail to the decklid.

Then sit back, down a Guinness, and gawk at the new tail for a half hour.

Since I added some weight by putting the tail on, I had to shed a few pounds and upgrade to the RS door panels.

Now, time to lower the SC. Then, new bumpers and paint.

Looking good Pari. Real good. Nice writeup.

A few inches off the ride height and it'll be looking pretty racy again.

Looks good. How'd Paul do painting the tail. I'm glad to see it on the car.
How'd you get the rest of the car to shine?

Nice results, an inch (or two!) lower will do wonders for looks and handling.

The paint looks pretty good, what's up with that ?

Thanks for the compliments guys !
KTL, without your help, this project would not have went as smooth as it did.
Bill, Paul did a great job painting the tail. I just had to wait a couple months to get it back, but for the price I paid to get it painted, I definitely can't complain.

Charlie, I waxed the 911 with Zymol, and I am pretty happy with the results. I know I can bring out the shine a little bit more if I use the clay bar.

With the tail on, my SC handles better than it ever did before. At high speeds the back end is solid. I have the neatrix bushings and the bump steer kit, so she will get lowered real soon. I just have to buy new front Bilsteins.

A nice tail is a thing of beauty (on the 911 of course).
Pari-you need to put a chin spoiler on the front so that the car will handle properly.

Joe, I guess you can't tell from the above pictures, but I installed a front rubber chin spoiler. Thanks for the heads up!
