Factory shifter/short shifter

I have a short shift in my car.

Considering swapping it for the stock shifter.

Have a line on a stock shifter from a 73.

Question, is the 73 the same as a shifter from an 84?

Thanks
Scott

I'm assuming you are talking about just the "inards" and not the whole housing. The only difference I know of is the pivots were roll pins on the earlier cars (don't know when they changed). I believe yours has bolts (somewhat adjustable. With that said, I don't know if the holes in the little box pieces are the same for both. This is a bump!

I have an 83sc that I was about to buy a factory short shift kit for.
Would you be interested in some sort of swap?

Thanks guys,

Howie,

I'd be interested in a trade, however my car is a daily driver. If you have a few days to ship me and wait for me swap mine out then let's talk.

Scott
