You don't mention what year your car is but....
Pelican has the Weltmiester style Adjustable Spring Plates Part # PEL-AS-900 or PEL-AS-910.
Of course if you have an SC or Carrera you already have adjustable spring plates...

Then it should have adjustable spring plates stock. The only advantage of changing would be if you need more adjustablility? But, if it's a cab, I don't think you're racing it, so I wouldn't think you need more adjustability.

Or are you just replacing them because they are missing?

It does, however I just put on 7's and 9's (fuchs) and the wheel well gaps are pretty bad. We did adjust it down as low is it goes with the stock spring plates but it still ........to me sat to high. My mechanic called me and told me to get a set to do it right.

Any thoughts.

Sounds like your mechanic doesn't want to or doesn't know how to reindex the stock spring plates.

Huh? You don't need a new set, you just need to re-index the T-bars. First put the springplates back into the middle of their settings so you have room to adjust in both directions. If you get a new pair, you would have to do this anyway. I think either your mechanic is smokin crack or you two got your wires crossed. If you do a search you will find tons of info on springplates. Some of it's from me. Most will be from Chuck and the others that do it all of the time. I recently put adjustables (stock like the ones you have) on my car because they didn't have them in '74. They also are needed if you want to corner ballance (which we will all recomend).

You will find no greater tool than this for what you need to do. If need be, show it to your mechanic, if his pride will take it. Many guys on this board, myself included owe Wil Ferch a barley pop for creating this.

You can corner balance fine with the factory adjustable spring plate. It just takes a little longer.
While we are on the subject of corner balancing, you really should have to have the car corner balanced after moving the spring plates. "Normal" cars don't have this problem because the rear suspension isn't adjustable. Having the ride height perfectly level has zero relevance to corner weights. To demonstrate this, take a kitchen chair, put two books (same thickness) under two of the legs legs (LF, RR). The chair can be perfectly level yet two of the legs are not even touching the ground.

they are definately going to corner balance it.
It's also having a Dansk single in dual out installed as well as a few other minor issues.

I ended up going with the Sway-Away Plates (They make the Weltmeister Plates) for exactly the reason of easy of adjustability. Sure They cost $300 ($325 for the 87-89), but it was truly amazing how easy it was to adjust the ride height. Well worth my time!!!
