rear 944T brake install on my 76,question.

I've searched for this and have a couple of questions that I know have probably have been answered but am unclear about

I am going to be installing a set of 944T brakes on the rear of my 76',(I already have the 944T brakes on the fron & 23mm Master Cylinder).
Here are the questions:
1)Will the Carrera rotors work w/this set up?
-What is the size of the rotors
2)Will the 930 rotors work w/this set up?
-What is the size of the rotors
3)When I fill the hole's on the calipers so that they can be redrilled, should I plug them with aluminum rod and weld it in or should I just fill the hole's.

I am doing it this way for now because I had the calipers and front rotors already. The car will be only for street driving not for track.

Thanks
Oscar

Carrera rotors are 290mm dia. x 24mm thick. Vehicle Craft Inc. (www.vehiclecraft.com) makes these work with caliper adapters instead of redrilling the holes.

930 rotors are 309mm dia. x 28mm thick. These are the rotors that allow you to redrill the existing transverse mounting holes ala Bill Verburg.

You want to fill weld the holes and then drill new holes at 3 in. on-center and a little higher to drop the down caliper onto the rotor. The caliper pad box needs to be widened a bit to accomodate the bigger rotor.

Here's a picture of the caliper and 930 rotor on Bill's car

Unless you are using 930 rotors front and rear, that means 304x32 and 309x28, you are asking for trouble.

I am going to use the 930 rotors, but what do you mean trouble? What problems would the carrera rotors cause?

Thanks

I'm guessing the Carrera ones are too thin so the pistons will extend too far, especially on a worn rotor.
